N14 are a recruitment agency focusing on the tech start-up field. They are based in Melbourne and work with clients throughout Australia and the UK. They needed a website that reflected the clients they help, clean, modern and future-focused.

The website is built on WordPress with integration for JobAdder job listings.

Brand Designing

The design of a product is the most important aspect of its success. A good looking product will always be more popular and sell better than an ugly one. The N14 brand was created along with the recruitment company’s name change. As N14’s focus is recruiting tech talent for startups the brand needed to reflect this client base.

Responsive Web Design

The term responsive web design (RWD) is used to describe a website that adapts its layout and content to the device it’s viewed on. With an ever-increasing amount of website traffic coming from mobile devices, especially when recruiting for tech startups it was important that the n14 website was designed with mobile visitors in mind.

UX Design

The first thing to consider when designing a website is the purpose of your site. What are you trying to accomplish? Is it for business or pleasure? Do you want to sell products, provide information, or entertain people? Once you know what you’re trying to achieve, then you can begin thinking about how best to do so.

In terms of the n14 website, we wanted to create something that would appeal to both the startup community as well as potential candidates. We also wanted to make sure that our website was easy to use and navigate. This meant that it had to be simple enough for anyone to find their way around but still have all the features required by a professional recruiter.

We decided to keep things very simple and focused on creating a great user experience. Our goal was to create a website that was fast loading and easy to navigate. We also wanted to ensure that the website looked amazing on any screen size.

The WordPress platform is a content management system (CMS) that allows users to create and publish web pages. It allows easy management of website content and integration with 3rd party tools like JobAdder.

JobAdder Job Listings

JobAdder is a free job listing tool that makes it easy to post jobs online. Integrating the job listings into n14’s website, allows job hunters to see all available jobs and apply without leaving the site. All jobs posted through JobAdder are verified before appearing on the n14 website.
